Draft Plan and Agreement Released

The draft of the City of Center Point and Linn County Fringe Area Plan and Agreement is now available for public review! The agreement will support the City's and County's efforts to direct urban (small-town) appropriate development adjacent to the City's existing development and to preserve agricultural land within the fringe area. The draft plan and agreement may be accessed here or in the "Documents" section of the project web page.

The City of Center Point Planning and Zoning Commission will review the plan and agreement on October 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Linn County Planning and Zoning Commission on November 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The Center Point City Council's review is tentatively scheduled for November 25, 2025, and the Linn County Board of Supervisors' review is tentatively scheduled for December 1, 2025.
