The City of Anamosa has partnered with ECICOG to update the City's comprehensive plan. The City and ECICOG will conduct outreach in the community to develop a vision for the community over the next ten years. City residents and business owners will have several opportunities to weigh in to help define the vision. The updated plan will provide guidance to City leaders for growth and development that is consistent with the community's vision.

The planning process is estimated to take approximately 12 months. Community members will find project updates and ways to be engaged, including event information input activities, at this site. Community input is critical to ensuring the plan reflects the priorities of residents. We would love to hear from you!

    The community survey is live! Make sure your input helps to guide the development of the plan. The responses to the survey are a significant influence on the goals and objectives that will be developed for the plan. Responses will be accepted until August 11, 2025. The survey may be completed online here or a print version may be downloaded here and is available at City Hall. Print copies may be returned to City Hall. Thank you!

    We want your input!

    The City is updating its comprehensive plan to guide the direction of the community over the next 10 years. Please, drop by the Lawrence Community Center, 600 E Main St., to provide your input on a variety of community issues! There will be no formal presentation. Join at your convenience between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

    Youth activities will be provided by Tanager Expressive Arts and Anamosa Parks and Recreation! Light refreshments will be served.

    The update to the Anamosa comprehensive plan is underway! The plan steering committee met on February 26, 2025, to provide ECICOG with a high-level introduction to the community and direction for the planning process and resident input. The committee discussed local issues, the comprehensive plan open house, community survey, and other engagement efforts.
