The Passenger Transportation Plan (PTP) helps determine what passenger transportation will look like in Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Washington, and Cedar Counties for a period of five years.


Passenger transportation can include:

  • Public transit
  • Taxi/transportation network (Uber & Lyft)
  • Volunteer driving programs
  • Non-emergency medical transportation

The 2026-2031 PTP was created by the East Central Iowa Council of Governments (ECICOG) and adopted on DATE 2026. The regional public and transit agencies were able to provide input via the online surveys below from DATE 2025 - DATE 2025. The past and current PTPs, along with the survey results, can be downloaded to the right. For more information, please contact brock.grenis@ecicog.org.
